We are temporarily closed!
We are currently undertaking improvements to the building which will make it a more comfortable space for all of its users.
Nancherrow Project is a registered charity dedicated to providing youth activity in St Just in Penwith, Cornwall. The committee manage and run regular youth programmes out of the Nancherrow Centre in the heart of St Just. The building was purpose built in 1995.
Our youth activity currently consists of a weekly youth club and other one off projects. Our facilities provide opportunities for young people to do a variety of things including making music, learning crafting techniques, gaining employment skills, charity work and more.
We are always interested in hearing from anyone who may be interested in supporting a project, sharing their skills and expertise or helping as a volunteer in the day to day running of the centre.

Meet our team

Kirstein Gill
Youth Worker
Kirstein was born into a family of youth workers and youth work is in her blood. She started as a youth worker at 18 in North Yorkshire while also pursuing a degree in Animal Management. After moving to Cornwall Kirstein worked as a youth worker on a variety of projects at PCDT and Cornwall Council and has been at Nancherrow for 7 years. She is a busy mum of 3 children and for her day job she is a dog walker and pet sitter. Kirstein loves to lead cookery sessions and centre-based youth work.

Jen Manning
Youth Worker
Jen has worked in youth work for over 15 years, after starting out in play work and early years. Along with Kirstein and friends, Jen started a charity to rescue and help hedgehogs. As a youth worker she has worked at PCDT delivering detached work, and she has been at Nancherrow for 6 years. Jen is a mum of 2 boys and by day (and night) she runs a farm. Jen loves to lead crafting projects and do detached youth work, out and about visiting places young people like to spend time.

Ben Payne
Music Room
Ben is local builder and musician who grew up attending Nancherrow. He has been in a number of local bands, many of whom were formed at Nancherrow. Ben wants to inspire Nancherrow’s young people to play and write music together.
